The New Pornographers signing copies of 'Twin Cinema'Live in San Diego at Lou’s Records, The New Pornographers played a set of songs, and your Confabulators were there.

Opening with the title track to their latest album ‘Twin Cinema‘ they also played ‘Use It’, ‘Jackie Dressed in Cobras’, ‘The Laws Have Changed’, ‘The Bleeding Heart Show’, ‘The Slow Descent into Alcoholism’, and ended with my favorite off their latest album, ‘Sing Me Spanish Techno’. It was a shorter set because of the heat, but still pretty awesome. After a short rest, the band signed autographs, answered questions and even gave the Confabulators a short bump, AC Newman awkwardly saying “Hi, I’m AC Newman, uh, Confabulating or something?”

The New Pornographers - Twin Cinema You can catch all this and more in MPEG form right here: (removed because we ran out of badwidth) If you love socialism and not wasting too much bandwidth, catch the torrent of the above file here: Bit Torrent (134.69 MB) If you just gotta have the highest quality available you can catch a torrent of the 5 GB large DV ready .AVI file here: Bit Torrent (5.1 GB)

If you love Confabulating and you love America, leave a comment.

That’s hot shit - thanks for making a guy from Germany, who hasn’t got the chance to see The New Pornographers live, very happy!

I like the sound. I am surprised that I have never heard of this group before. They made my foot tap, and my head rock while I was surfin the net which means I like ‘em. The only thing is they need to work on stage presence, which could of course be limited due to the small area that they have to work with. Personality is a lot of what a concert is about, its not much fun to watch a band stand there and play. Well, overall I can say I liked this performance because they connected with the audience through jokes and good music, I just need to stress more performance in the ’show’.

    thanks for the video

I like how there was a girl dancing around in the background during “The Bleeding Heart Show”. That would totally be me. If I was there. And was a girl.

and was hot. seriously, she was mega hot

yeah, nice performance but not the same charisma without neko case. plus the heat and sitting crowd. this is about the worst you’ll see them and it’s still good.

I had to remove the full download because we simply ran completely out of bandwidth and i had to add more to finish the month. I like how its so popular but please torrent it and don’t forget to seed, but hitting a reasonably high bandwidth cap within 4 days of the start of a month isn’t acceptable on my nonexistant income.
if you don;t have a torrent client, I prefer aureus: http://azureus.sourceforge.net/

    Hey Jordan,

do you know if ANYBODY had the chance to download the 5 GB version? I tried to download the AVI file almost as soon as you put it up, but had no connection untill now. I’d really LOVE to get my hands on this - if anybody out there downloaded the AVI file, please open a torrent window! And Jordan: If you see any chance to download it somewhere else, please let us know. THANKS A BILLION!!

    Lars

(P.S.: I use BitTorrent, but I think this is 100% compatible with the client you use, isn’t it?)

  10. Jordan Said:

i never got it all the way downloaded to seed.
then i reinstalled windows. All torrent cliets are compatible.

Why dont you Confabulators put some files that are ‘bandwidth’ heavy on something similar to http://yousendit.com ? The only problem I would see it having is the 1GB per file limit. But you could chunk the video and have 5 parts… Just so you dont lose precious bandwidth!

  12. Lisbeth Said:

Well, downloading right now. I hope it’s good.

  13. Jordan Said:

    Jeff.
Yousendit has a very low limit on how many people can download it.
It isn’t the size of the file, it’s the 400 downloads it got in a day.

  14. Jeff Taitano Said:

Oh, I didnt understand that you could only do a few every day :( Bummer. Well, Bittorrent is the next best alternative, but seeders are always a problem, especially since I cant seed (satellite connection sucks).

  15. Jordan Said:

I’ll be seeding it as of now untill forever.
so it has 2 dedicated seeds.
and if you can;t use torrent don’t hesistate to hit me with an email.
or let us know on our forums.

    Thanks.
